With the new opening, the two Lübeckers showcase a significant innovation in conceptual spatial design. For the first time, crystals, which were previously seen as collector's items, are presented holistically in a living concept and offered for sale. White-framed, antique furniture from Scandinavia forms the basis of the interior design, where decorative minerals are used as style elements. The usability of these natural beauties is important to both Lübeckers. "The crystals are a daily reward for the eye!" says Steffen Dettmann, who selects the stones with geological expertise. The new living style has been aptly named by the two Lübeckers with a neologism: Mineralistic. "The extraordinary individual pieces made of decorative minerals and Danish vintage furniture have been brought together with the fundamental idea of living with more attention to detail and thus experiencing the lightness of being," says the creative businesswoman. The store is located in the historic Engelsgrube, not far from the drawbridge at the Museum Harbor.

Since its opening, Kristallkontor at Engelsgrube 72 has evolved and is now an owner-managed store gallery and a mineralogical specialty shop in Lübeck's Old Town.
The range includes small minerals and crystals, fossils and gemstones, as well as high-quality collector minerals, extraordinary large specimens, and museum-quality minerals. Geological expertise and personal consultation are essential components of today's Kristallkontor.
