It's worth setting out: On Saturday, August 29, Lübeck's Museum Night invites you from 6 PM to midnight to experience the diverse cultural program of all Lübeck museums as well as other cultural institutions and galleries. This year's motto "On the Way" comes to life through numerous formats such as discussions, readings, guided tours, and dance and music performances.
The themes range from travel and foreign cultures to physical movement and the journey to one's own self. Around 300 actions and offerings from more than 50 cultural institutions ensure a fascinating night full of art, culture, poetry, music, and interesting encounters. Lübeck's Museum Night is organized by the LÜBECKER MUSEEN together with many galleries and cultural institutions of the Hanseatic city.
Tickets priced at 15 euros, reduced 8 euros, are available online on the LÜBECKER MUSEEN website and at all museum ticket counters (except for St. Catherine's Church).
The 24th Lübeck Museum Night kicks off with an opening at 6 PM in front of the Holstentor. Here, an exciting open-air program awaits you: from participatory offerings by the Movement Family to energetic hip-hop performances, as well as international sounds from the Italian band "Riserva Moac" and the mobile brass sound of the "Marzipan Horns". A lively meeting point for movement, music, and encounters!
For families and children, there are special offerings this year: The Seebadmuseum in Travemünde opens at 2 PM. At Buddenbrookhaus, you can walk in the footsteps of the young Thomas "Tommy" Mann through Lübeck at 3 PM. At 5:30 PM, the "Young Theater Lübeck" will perform the play "Friends" by Helme Heine on the garden stage of the Günter Grass House.
